Sessions
Three ways to sit at the wheel.
Every session includes the wheel, the clay, the firing and the glaze. You leave with what you made, ten days later.
Four Saturdays
Four mornings · one month
A month of mornings. You get a shelf with your name on it, your pieces trimmed between weeks, and a glazing afternoon at the end where everything comes together.

The studio to yourselves. Two wheels, the teacher, and the quiet. Bring what you like to drink; we have the glasses. Pieces fired and glazed as usual.

Ten days from the wheel to your shelf.
The vase you chose above, at each stage of its making. Pick another form on the wheel and the page follows it.

Throw
Two hours at the wheel. We centre the first ball with you; after that the teacher is a voice over your shoulder, not a pair of hands on yours.
- 02
Rest
Your pieces dry under cloth for a week. We trim the feet and sign them for you, so nothing you made goes into the kiln anonymous.
- 03
Fire
A bisque firing, then the glaze you chose, then the second firing. This is the ten days: the kiln takes its time and we do not hurry it.
- 04
Collect
Your pieces wait on the shelf by the door for a month. If you have already left Lisbon, we post within Portugal for the cost of the box.
Work
The four forms we teach first.
Each one teaches a different thing about the wheel. You choose on the day; most people start with the bowl. Open a form to see what it asks of you and which session suits it.
The room
Six wheels. Never more than six people.
One long room off a courtyard, a kiln in the back, and the sound of water. Small on purpose. Your pieces wait on the shelf by the door.

- Rua do Forno 12, Lisboa. Ten minutes on foot from the river; the courtyard door is open when we are.
- When
- Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 20:00. Evenings by arrangement.
- Bring
- Nothing. Aprons, tools and clay are here. Short nails help; jewellery does not.
