The four

One clay, one glaze, four ways to hold it.

Three of the four are thrown on the same wheel from the same white stoneware; the Slab is built from cut sheets of it. All of them are fired in the same kiln. What changes is the hand: where it opened the form, where it pulled, where it stopped. Nothing here is illustrated — each piece is a scan of the real one, lit and turned in your browser as you look at it.

Details

Made to be used, and to be looked at.

Clay
White stoneware, fired to 1240 °C. Vitrified, so it holds water without a liner.
Glaze
A satin white over the whole body, thinned where the throwing rings show through. Food-safe, lead-free.
Variation
The pieces on the stage are scans of real ones, rendered live rather than photographed; yours will differ from them in the way a hand differs from itself day to day.
Care
Dishwasher-safe. Do not put it in the oven. Lime marks come off with a splash of vinegar.
Delivery
Wrapped in paper and wood wool, in a box the piece cannot move in. Within Europe in five working days.
